Lifestyle: How I Handle My Anxiety (HUGE GIVEAWAY!!!)

Hey everybody!!!

If you can’t tell, I’m super mega excited to be bringing y’all this post today! As you can imagine from the title of this post, today we’re going to be talking about the subject of anxiety and some simple ways that I’ve found to help calm that beast! Along with giving you some tips and tricks to help out when you’re having those rough days full of anxiety and stress, I’m also going to be GIVING AWAY ALL OF THE ITEMS MENTIONED!

That’s right! Everything I mention within this post will be up for grabs for one lucky winner at the end of the post! This post is only possible because of all of the lovely small businesses/shops that were willing to send me their products for me to giveaway to one of my amazing readers! We’ll talk about each shop individually as we get to their products within the post and all of their information will be linked at the end of the post, so let’s just hop right on into ways to ease your stress and anxiety and the products that will help you do so!

One of the very first ways I discovered to put my anxiety at ease throughout my anxiety journey was writing out all of the jumbled thoughts in my brain. Specifically, I like using small journals that way I can easily take them with me wherever I go just incase my anxiety starts getting a bit out of hand. I know a lot of people think that writing out everything you’re feeling doesn’t seem like it will be much help at all, but honestly it’s one of the simplest ways to let everything out. If the stress and anxiety ever feels too overwhelming and like there is nothing you can do just pick up a journal and start writing without thinking. Just let everything flow. I found these amazingly printed unlined journals while searching on etsy and after reaching out to Alice, the shop owner of Party Bella, she was kind enough to send me four of her products all the way from Isreal to help one of my readers relieve their stress and anxiety! How sweet that she sent two for me and two for the lucky reader!

2.) Writing and Tearing it up

This isn’t a product that I have used before, but more of a type of concept I use to ease my worries and anxiety. These items come from a lovely woman named Francesca in London! The item on the right is the item that is based on a concept I use to help me out in times of extreme anxiety or stress. Sometimes I have thoughts that I need to get out that I know I will need to get rid of after I write them out, so I usually would tear those pieces up and throw them in the trash, but the concept of these thought bubbles is even better. These bubbles you are able to write on and then put in a glass of water and watch them dissolve away! The whole idea was inspired by a product called worry people that Francesca’s mother gave her when she was little, you would tell the doll your problems and they would sort of “absorb” her worries and anxiety about anything by the next morning. The whole dissolving thought bubble is one of my favorite ideas I have ever come across to get rid of any stress. You literally get to watch it go away! How Neat!?

3.) Hot Tea

Now, I know we’ve talked about drinking hot tea to help sooth the pain of periods, but that’s not the only thing hot tea is good for. Drinking a cup of tea is first of all, just a nice routine to go through to try and start calming your body down, but the tea I’m featuring here is made especially to help relive the everyday stresses of anxiety! Teas like this work wonders, and I’m even more excited for one of my readers to win this simply because Charlie, the creator of Grey Roses Magick, started the shop specifically to help with problems they were having while also being able to give back and make other people feel a bit better as well! I’m totally here for this concept, and I know the tea is going to be absolutely magnificent!

4.) Essential Oils

These my friends, are my holy grail product that I’ve been using for over 2 years now. I haven’t specifically been using the Clean Haven Scents version, but after receiving her products it will be my go to place to Anxiety and Stress relieving essential oils! I’m extremely happy I found Charlene’s products and I’m even more happy that I get to give them away to you! Essential oils are my go to when I’m feeling a little bit on edge due to my anxiety. The simple smell puts you at ease immediately and gives you a beautiful scent to bask in instead of basking in all of your worry. Charlene even sent an extra bit to add to the giveaway which is her minty grapefruit chapstick! 5.) Adult Coloring Books

This is a product I’m very very very lucky and excited to be promoting on my blog! As we have talked about before in one of my book hauls, coloring in adult coloring books is a huge trend that had started, but one that couldn’t have had a better reason to start! The whole idea of an adult coloring book is brilliant, and it really does help ease your anxiety. Being able to take your mind to a new creative place is the best way to not think about the necessary stresses and anxiety of life. This coloring book I’m so happy to present to you because it comes from a wonderful artist I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing! You can read that interview HERE! Matthew got the idea to start creating a coloring book when he had an art show that dealt with the idea of stacking different items on top of each other. His friends and family began liking the illustrations he was creating so much they asked him to create a coloring book out of them and he decided that’s just what he would do! After his wife became pregnant and started snacking for two, Matthew knew just the right theme he would use for his coloring book, and today we are presented with “The Fat Kid Coloring Book” full of all of the delicious treats you could ever wish to color in order to put your worrying mind at ease!

6.) Pamper Routine

 One of the last things I do to try and calm my anxiety is to drop everything and pamper myself for a night. I know it’s extremely hard to do this when you have anxiety, but you need to take a moment for yourself  whether you’re a dude or a lady.   5. I like listening to CDs with positive messages, and also got a CD from a therapist that is music to listen to that theapists use for EMDR therapy. I bought it online.

I don’t have that much anxiety but I do have a busy schedule and of course life gets a little stressful sometimes but what has helped me is to sit back and think of all of the things I have, the opportunities that I have been given, how much I have accomplished in life this far, and all of the things and people that I am grateful for. In times that I feel anxious I usually don’t have time or comfort space to handle things properly so I have found that letting my emotions flow makes it easier (like walking away for a moment to cry a little) or giving in to those fidget habits like nail biting or leg shaking. Oh or even sucking down on a cup of water or sweet tea. Maybe one of these lovely items can me!

  11. I am actually really bad at relieving my stress but when I do get it right, it’s usually music, incense, and a hot shower that helps.   17. Honestly, it took me long time to figure out how to handle my anxiety. At first I tried running. Truthfully the best remedy was mediation and yoga. It’s so calming, it’s like a breath of fresh air. If I was to get this giveaway, I’d be ecstatic to get the pamper routine. I need to make some more me time and self love is always a plus.

  18. To destress myself, I go to the gym, drink tea, and listen to music. Sometimes I’ll just turn off my phone and detach myself from everyone in my life just to clear my mind.

  19. One way I help control my anxiety is by working out. I go for runs in the morning and it really helps because when I’m running in the morning and watching the sun rise I feel at peace.

  20. Emerald Wilson; my go-to method of relieving anxiety is to read poetry. Even sad poetry. My favorite is Plath or Whitman. It takes my mind off of things, because I have to analyze it in order to process the true meaning. I’m most excited about the journals! Those looks adorable and like you said, very portable. I love reading, but I’ve yet to get into writing. Hopefully, having no excuse with the journal with me everywhere will help me enter into the writing world!

  21. For me I like to take a nice hot shower to relax (a bath would be even better but I don’t have a tub right now).

    I have very high levels of anxiety, so its hard for me to ease it. The best way I’ve found is to turn off everything making noise and to just relax, breathe deeply, and drink some tea or warm milk and honey. If I can’t turn down the noise I’ll either grab a pen and doodle on whatever is available or make it a mental exercise of repeating the phrase “it’s okay” to myself.
    That being said, I’m genuinely excited about all of the giveaway features. I think the tea or essential oils would be most exciting for me though. I use some essential oils for my breathing so it would be pretty cool to see how well it treats my anxiety. And of course I’m always up for trying some new tea 🙂

  23. The one way I take care of my anxiety is by doing my art. I find it super therapeutic to just go and create.

    The thing I am most excited about is the pamper routine. Being able to take care of myself at the end of a stressful day would be really nice

  25. I don’t really have a way to handle my anxiety. I have tried writing and sometimes it works but usually when I do have anxiety I’m nowhere near my journal. I’ve tried a few apps but they aren’t for me. I usually just sleep it off. I’m just gonna keep trying things until I get it right.   26. I think the most important thing for me is to remind myself that it’s okay to slow down if I feel like I have too much on my plate. I’ll usually listen to music or watch my favorite TV show. I’m most excited for the essential oils. I started using an essential oil diffuser about a year ago, and I love how it instantly brightens up my home and my mood!

  27. I typically relieve my anxiety by taking a step back from all forms of responsibility and breathing. I have to take really deep breaths and focus on breathing in and of itself. I sometimes listen to music while I do this, but I have to find it calming and it can’t be something I’m going to focus on too much.
