Be sure to keep up with me through all of my social media which can be found through my ‘keep in touch’ tab under the main menu. Also be sure to leave me tons of comments, send me suggestions, or if you just need a chat send me a quick email and I promise to get back to you. (:
Well guys, here we are. After about 2 months I’m finally back at blogging and here to give you a bit of an update because A LOT has changed. Well maybe not a lot in the 2 months, but a lot sure has changed since my last life update….actually have I ever fully updated you guys on my life through the blog? Maybe I usually just do that through snapchat. Anyway, I’m here to tell you what in the world has been going down, so let’s get to getting!
First of all we will get to the most obvious for you guys. locatinglifestyle has received a face lift. We now have a logo designed by yours truly and created by the amazing McGuires Media! Make sure to give Caleb a follow on instagram @mcguiresmedia. He does great work. We are also now working with a new layout on my website which you are seeing now and saw on the homepage. Since there are new changes in the layout and the website itself please feel free to let me know in the comments or through email if your having trouble finding something, don’t like any parts of the new layout, have any suggestions, or anything else about the new web design! Along with the new web design, I have added a Facebook page to the number of ways you can connect with me and keep in touch. You can find that page HERE. Be sure to give it a like and share it with all of your friends, family and anybody else who might enjoy. With all of these changes I’m actually planning to kick start a whole other phase of locatinglifestyle with VLOGS. If you don’t know vlogging is a bit of a daily recording a persons life made into a short video. I explain this a bit more in THIS POST, however the vlogging will now not be on snapchat and will be in an actual edited video that will most likely be imported to youtube for all of your viewing pleasures. These vlogs won’t just be me but Caleb and I and who knows, maybe a bit of my family and friends if they’re game to be recorded as well. We’ll for sure keep you updated on how this goes.
Secondly we’ll get to the HUGE news that most of you will already know if you follow me on the socials: CALEB ASKED ME TO MARRY HIM AND I OF COURSE SAID YES! That’s right friends, we’re engaged and planning on getting married, in some form. I’ll update you guys on the wedding plans as they come about. For right now we have planned the engagement party and we are saving money for the rest. Not much to update you on when it comes to that situation other than the fact that we are actually engaged. Peep my ring down below. If you’re wondering about the style it’s a Natural Sapphire stone with a diamond encrusted halo and white gold band. <— I think this is all correct. Caleb knows the details. I don’t.
Moving on from the relationship update, let’s get into a bit of my health since I know we’ve talked a lot about this together and y’all have come along on the journey with me. As of right now I have a consistent heart doctor and endocrinologist that I check up with regularly to make sure everything is in order and looking right. Right now I’m on medicine that lowers my heart rate and that has decreased my chest pain immensely. Essentially my health right now is pretty stellar, and that might have something to do with the fact that I’m now working out semi-regularly. We’ll touch on that more in a little bit. I’m still in search of an outstanding primary care physician for myself and I’m also thinking about getting back into therapy. Yep….you read that right. I’m currently not in counseling, and it’s something I actually miss, and with that little fact let’s get into why I’m no longer in counseling.
I couldn’t go to school this semester….
God, it kills me to say it still. A bit of a fresh wound I suppose you could say. It’s awful to not be in school and not have a degree either. Essentially I had to quit going because I didn’t have enough money even with scholarships, financial aid, and student loans. My situation is a bit weird. Trust me, I tried everything but it was damn near impossible for me to step foot back at USC Upstate this semester. I miss it. I miss it so much. I miss the students, I miss the classes, I miss the teachers, hell, I even miss that God awful apartment complex (not the roommate). Anyhow, since I couldn’t go back to school and I was receiving free counseling through the OUTSTANDING programs at Upstate (SERIOUSLY CANNONT BRAG ON USC UPSTATE ENOUGH) I no longer am able to use their counseling services. The same goes for their health services which is where sweet Mary worked who was my Primary Care Physician. However, like I said I’m still currently in search for both and think I know what I’m going to do when it comes to counseling. I just need to work up the guts to call the lady. But back to school… It sucks being out of school. For a long while I felt like I was nothing, going nowhere, and just was so so so depressed about it. I’m still pretty depressed about the situation, but I have to talk myself through it and realize this is not an end or a permanent obstacle. This is something I can work hard for and save up and go back and kick butt and get a degree like I planned. For now I’m just working away, saving money, trying to be happy, and planning for my future.
I’m thinking this would be a good time to update you on my work situation. My work life: an area in my world where I am highly satisfied and extremely blessed. My first and primary, (almost full time) job is with Sportsclub Greenville working in Childcare!!! If you know me you know I go into work everyday smiling because of this. I work with kids from 2 months to 13 years and I love every minute of it. Well…. most of the minutes. Haha (; On the weekends, I spend my Saturdays and Sundays as a nanny taking care of the sweetest 16 month old little girl who is so well mannered, so well behaved, so cute, and sooooo loving. It’s such a blessing. Both of my jobs are such a blessing. I’m always smiling at work. Even when it gets stressful, which trust me it does, I end up smiling because of something funny one of the little ones said or did. Getting back to sportsclub, a little perk to my job, which is helping my physical and mental health tremendously, is that I get a free membership to be able to workout in the gym. SUCH A BLESSING. So in short (but not really) work is great. Both of my jobs are fabulous.
The last little update I have for y’all is to please please please keep up to date with me and don’t give up. I’m here and I’m ready to get back to doing what I love. I was feeling a bit down about my blogging career for a while, but I need to suck it up, whip myself into shape, and keep doing what makes me happy. I need to do this for nobody else but myself. I have A MASS AMOUNT of posts coming your way so stay tuned. I’ll be back here Sunday or Monday morning with another new post!
